Is it lame that I miss Kevin after only 2 days of being away? It’s a good feeling to miss someone so much. (EDIT: I miss my lovah, too)

I’ve been in Lima visiting my grandparents for the past 36 hours or so & although it’s just a podunk cornfield town, it’s sort of nice to get away from the stress of working in 100-something degree weather & habitual nights out.
Okay, so am I going to Rocky alone? I have pink fishnets & a denim skirt & blue eyeshadow, and I’m going it alone? Come onnn, people! Let’s do the time warp again! (see previous entry)

I bought a McCall’s skirt pattern & my mom is going to teach me to sew. Wish me luck- me with a needle & sewing machine? And various other sharp objects like pins? We’ll see- my skirt might end up being a pillowcase or something.
My grandpa goes to the Senior Citizens’ Center a lot. I wonder if the people who work there are senior citizens, too, or if it’s like the Nat & employs young people. Do the elderly lifeguard & teach step aerobics? I wanted to ask but thought it might be insulting.

My kinda new job forces me to sow and hem and all that crap. It intimidated me at first, but I am actually good at it now. You can dooooo it! woo.
Oh man... good luck with the sewing-- I'm deathly afraid of pins and needles. My grammy loves TJ Maxx... next to Gabe's, it's the best cheap store ever.
Sequins are a must for prettiness.

I love sequins, too. And shimmer powder. Chandelier earrings. Etc. Anything super girly that makes me feel like I can take on the town . . .
And podunk towns aren't ALL bad. Haha. I don't live in one, but I have visited them before, and it was somewhat pleasant. Peaceful.
And yes the pic was Blayre. Isn't she a doll? Haha.
I would totally Rocky it out with you. And I still can't understand why all the really cool concerts are in Ohio.
Oh, and I learned how to swear while taking my costume construction class. Just to use the machine you have to pull the thread around a loop, through a hamster wheel, down the dark abyss, around the corner, past the nuclear accelerator, and so on. It's a bitch. BUT, after you make something really cool, it feels good.
*I've never seen the Rocky Horror Thing! I think it would be fun, but I'm completely outta money! No more! It sucks like whoa, or else I'd go with ya! Isn't it the thought that counts?!?*
I WOULD go to Rocky Horror with you-I'm always up for a late night trip to the cinema-but alas, I'll still be in the beloved metropolis which is Pittsburgh.
