Courtesy of my birthday money a la my grandma, I went on a mini shopping extravaganza last night. Four tops, two pairs of shoes, one purse & ten pairs of earrings later, I’m looking forward to fall a liiiiitle bit more. Soooo material.

Even though I get pessimistic sometimes (& who doesn’t?) I’m really at a place in my life right now where I’d be hard-pressed to squeeze in much more happiness. This summer has been incredibly drama-free, I’ve finally found myself with an amazing guy whom I can’t imagine my life without, I’m back at home in the city that loves me, & I’m starting a scary but still exciting new chapter of my life in a couple of weeks. If you’d told me six months ago that I’d be this happy today, I wouldn’t have believed you. I was in such a dark place… but now, that’s over, fading… and I’m so lucky to be here.

Speaking of this non-drama summer, though, that makes it even worse when people start sh!t with one of my best girls. It’s sad that so many people we know can’t seem to get out of high school & into real life- sad that they can’t recognize a good friend when they see one. And for the record, I’ll defend you til I turn blue in the face if you need me to, babe. You know who you are.
It’s gloomy & glum but the FAC is still open. Woooot. Peace out.

and hey i went on a shopping extravaganza last night too! It started as a dorm shopping trip, but once we got to the mall, my mom and i just headed straight for all of our favorite stores lol. It was fun
scorrre, i got quoted. and seriously, i could not be happier with what my $15 bought.
I've tried my hardest to escape high school drama because really, who needs it? Lucky for me my future mother in law is still stuck in high school and of course LOVES drama. Hooray. You'll get to hear all about it in the next couple of days since there's no way I can fit it all into one post.
I'm really glad to read that third little blurb. This may sound bitchy (though that's not intended) but it looks to me like things are going really well for you right now- You have so many things that so many others don't have...

Anyway, I'm glad you're happy. Also, I just realized that we never watched the good version of The Goodbye Girl. I have it over at my apartment right now so maybe we can have a girls night soon and watch it. Ttyl.

I wish I got cash for my birthday. It wouldn't have last long, though, and I'd probably be even more in-the-hole than I am now.

I heard "the safety dance" on the radio today and for some reason it made me think of you....why, I have no idea. But I can honetly see you lip-syncing to it and dancing around...is that weird? Oh yeah, and in this little vision you would be wearing lots of shiny lipgloss. You always had the best lipgloss.
It sucks when you dont update because your site is the best.
