  • “Let the past be past; let’s start today.” –Anberlin-

There’s a Protected Post up that you may not even understand.

Last night Kevin took me to the Cheesecake Factory & when the server asked the woman at the table next to us if she was interested in dessert, she said, “Yes, I’ll have a piece of that cheesecake.” And the waitress looked confused & annoyed, as if this was a regular occurrence, & asked, “Umm, which cheesecake, ma’am?” They have approximately 25 different kinds or something.

Today I’m wearing teal at the FAC. I look forward to it- I haven’t tealed it for two years now. It’ll be nice not to be in charge for a day.

Something about fall is intoxicating & depressing all at once. I won’t pretend that fall doesn’t remind me of old memories & times past & people long gone from my life, at all different stages of my past… I look forward to starting school at Kent, no matter how terrified I am-- & no matter how many times I profess that fear, I don’t wish myself back at OU.

    ((()))

Kevin, Ryan, Brandon, Peebles & I went to see “The 40-Year Old Virgin” last night & I was the only person who laughed- okay, howled hysterically- when the Smart Tech manager sang a Spanish lullaby.

Anberlin’s “Stationary Stationery” makes me cry. I’m crying. Oh God… This band is my new obsession.

  • Yay! I don't feel alone anymore! I was the only in the theater almost dying from laughter during the Spanish lullaby part, haha.

  • i don't like someone who's icon is the suicide-by-flames buddhist monk talking about laughing hysterically. it makes me nervous. and i win, i knew about anberlin a while ago. despite the fact that it may be inappropriate in this context, i know you know what i mean by i win. hugs & mauh

  • I love Anberlin, too!  I first heard about them when one of my friends had the lyrics to Time and Confusion in his away message and I asked what song or poem that was.  Mmmm... such good lyrics...

    when memories fade
    we've got each other
    when time and confusion collide
singin', i hold it all when i hold you
    when friends walk other ways
    we've got each other
i hold it all when i hold
i hold it all when i hold you

its not about the money we make
its about the passions that we ache for
what makes your heart beat faster
tell me now what does your body long after

  • and i have not a clue who anberlin is. but whoa, doritos arent potato chips?? they must be wheat fortified with special nerd proteins and nutrients. and hey, bring the nerdy girls on.

  • so have I, because my sister did it once.  But if you do...dont ever let the "sandman" do it....he's seriously a big pervert! lol he hit on my friend real bad and had her dance for him and wispered in her ear "ur so effin hott" kus he thought she was hypnotized but she still remembered it all.  He was pretty sick.

  • Hey...propz to u

and yeah I'm a transfer student but I have yet to move in...that's a long story...

but I went to Tri-C for a semester, and also went to Hampton U, in VA real briefly the semester before...so this is my third (and last) school...good luck to u this year @ Kent! I cant wait to get there!

  • im glad that ill know someone in one of my classes!  please please sit with me!

  • what was the name of the band you were talking about at work today?

  • im in verder hall. yeah lunch will be good! when?

  • People are stupid when it comes to ordering food.  I worked at a coffee shop/deli a year ago, and one woman said to me, "Um, I'd like the cheese 'quickie'."  I had no idea what she was talking about, then suddenly it dawned on me that she was trying to order the cheese QUICHE. I nearly peed my pants.

  • "Would you dance if I asked you to dance? Would you run and never look back? Would you cry if you saw me cryin? Would you save my soul tonight?"

Ok, so maybe I can't be your hero, but I enjoyed playing it for you at Christina's house. You're fun. Hey, have you ever talked in third person and really enjoyed it? I mean, I kinda like saying "Adam is hungry!" or "Adam is sick of taking your crap woman!" Or "Adam thinks that bunnies bring out the best in his personality."...ok maybe not...forget I said anything about bunnies. What I'm trying to say is, it was good to meet you. Oh and I like your picture of cheesecake.
