I had my first Newswriting interview yesterday & it went extremely well. I got some good info & maybe made a new friend, too. Now I just have to work my butt off to get all the other interviews in!
Working my butt off seems to be a theme this week.
· Found out I’m failing Econ
· Found out that if failing Econ takes my GPA below a 2.75, I get booted from Journalism for a semester
· Met with my Poli Sci professor to work on a data research project due a week from today that I’m totally lost on
· Finally started on the oral presentation I have due tomorrow…
· Have an econ exam on Friday (thought it was tomorrow) that I clearly need to do decently on
· Have to start taking/developing pictures for my Photography portfolio due very soon

The end of the quarter (semester!) is always killer… but what’s even more killer is knowing that if I was still at OU, I’d be in finals week. And I would be able to retake Econ for a replacement grade.
This week has already been miserable, and it’s only Tuesday. I can’t go out this weekend- does anyone want to go see a matinee with me on Saturday or something? I need to spend the rest of the weekend doing academic junk.

I would go to a matinee with you, but the commute from Columbus would be killer...When I went to school in Pittsburgh I had no friends for the first nine months or so, and every Sunday afternoon I would go to the cinema by myself and just watch movies; usually at least two. It sounds pretty pathetic, but I loved it, and I miss doing that. There was really no point to that little story...Sigh.
Hey there! Why see a matinee, do academic junk during the day and drink at night...makes sense to me!

Consider it prayed. This semester has been hellacious for every person I know, which is of absolutely no consolation to you, I'm sure but it seemed necessary to state that. Thanks for praying for me...I am struggling, especially with the boys (is anyone suprised???).
Talking to ryan again is hella-weird, but good i suppose. It is weird that you saw him. He loves the eat-n-park so...beware of that in the future. lol. Hopefully I'll see you over one of these breaks coming up. Good luck with all your stress. And Econ is stupid.
aw, chin up. school is the worst. i can't wait for this semester to be over, and if it makes you feel any better, i'm going to fail out of neurobiology because our final's worth 67% of our grade and i already got a C on the midterm (which was worth 33%). stab me in the eye with a fucking fork already. that would be less painful that watching myself crash and burn. oh man. anyway, perhaps that was a little extreme? xoxo. you'll be fine.

A slim jim is something that a lot of locksmiths will use if you locked your keys in your car. Basically it's this long skinny piece of plastic and you slide it down inside the car door. It goes in between the window and the door and using that you pull on some wire down in the door that will unlock your door. It tends to really fvck up your car door when used. They're easy enough to buy and make though. I've seen them made out of car hangers. So if you ever lock your keys in your car see if they can open it some other way aside from the slim jim because it can seriously mess up your car door.
