I’m irked by people who think that you can’t drink & still be a religious person- people who think their “moral values” are the be-all & end-all of religious authority. If God doesn’t like the way I’m living, let Him tell me- not you. And don’t tell me you’re praying for me (to stop drinking, or something)- that only makes me madder.

I got a B on my Econ exam. Hallelujah!!! I actually got a 22/36 but it was curved so high that what would’ve been a 61% was actually a B. Which means I’m not failing, which means I won’t get booted from J-School.

I distracted and stalling from studying for my classical music final which will for sure result in an all-nighter...it's completely audio, which is harder than it sounds...

That won't stop me from smoking when and where I want. Obviously I wouldn't do it while pumping gas or at an old folks home where they cart around oxygen, and I certainly wouldn't blow smoke in your face, but still - I'll do it where and when I please. Don't like it? TFB...
I feel like making the half hour drive to Chapel Hill mall so I can smoke there right now...

Amen about the whole drinking thing, you think you get it bad? trying being at a dry campus like I am, you would think i was satan himself. But oh well, I'll be a flash here soon. yay!

Congrats on the internship, Katy!!! I agree with the whole religion thing... I mean personally, I'm not going to drink... but it's not because of religious purposes. Drinking obviously shouldn't have much of an effect on things... anyway... how much wine was there in the Bible/Torah?
I was also just wondering if you were coming to the Tree Festival tomorrow. Ms is performing at 1 and A Cappella is at 2... It's at the John S Knight Center instead of Quaker Square. I wasn't sure if you'd have class or anything, but none of the rest of my family can make it, so I thought I might ask you. Hopefully I'll see you there! Love ya!

I just want to say to whoever posted that they're gonna smoke wherever and whenever and thats TDB for anyone else: way to be an ignorant asshole. I am 100% in favor of smoke free bars b/c I like to have the occasional drink and I don't wanna die from your cancerous, bad-smelling, annoying, addictive habit while I am enjoying a fresh beverage. Congrats to you for being addicted to nicotine and enjoy your trip to the mall....I'm sure it'll be fun standing out in the freezing cold of northern OH, taking all that tar and crap into your lungs....yumm!
Kate, congrats on the internship! That's really cool. It's always good to get down with your religious roots. Sorry about the rant but I am tired of having to pay £7 (aka $14) for laundry every time I go anywhere b/c my clothes always smell like smoke.
