  The show last night was… chaotic. Hunter was great for it being their first show; Denison was poetic & kind & humorous as ever; Lovedrug was beautiful & brilliant. I got yelled at by some indier-than-thou girl during Denison for talking too loudly; I called 911 for a drunk diabetic who was barfing everywhere; & I met up with Julie Kozak’s best friend in the bathroom, where we cried together & vented & comforted each other.

  A true friend shows up at your house after you call her in hysterics, & holds you while you curl up in bed & cry like a little kid, & snot all over your pillow. And then she tells you stories about Santa cheeks & model penises, & everything is okay again.

  
  

   

  
  

  I’m so tired that when I put eyeliner on today, it actually made my eyes burn & water, rebelling because they wanted to be closed, & asleep in bed.

  I’m at work for about 15 hours or so today. Splendid. The day began with Brian waking me up at the ass-crack of day (it wasn’t dawn yet!) & me coming into work at 6:15 to find that Maintenance didn’t set up for today’s St. Nicholas Bazaar… So I did it, which took 2 hours of hard, sweaty labor.
