I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t had time to breathe, much less update Xanga. Nonetheless, here I am.
I have an article in the paper today… it was supposed to run front page but I haven’t seen a copy yet, so I don’t know if it did. I read it online, though, and they screwed it up again. Why is it that my editors mess up my articles for me on the rare times when I don’t even do it for myself???

A white girl won last night’s freestyle battle. Annie & I booed & cheered “Apollo”-style with the rest of ‘em, periodically remembering our intrinsic whiteness & pondering the hilarity of our situation. I tell ya, real friends show up to rap competitions with you, dawg.
I want to know why Dell boxes {edit: Gateway boxes. Thanks, Shanna!} have cow prints on them. Whose idea was this? I realized recently that I don’t really like cows. In fact, I despise that radio commercial for Smith’s, “The Dairy in the Country,” where the cow is yelling out military commands… so I don’t know if I hate actual cows or just clichéd cowisms…

I feel sort of empty lately, like I’m just going through the motions. I don’t know why, because I’m not unhappy at all… it’s just that I’m not particularly happy, either. All I do is go, go, go & I don’t slow down anymore because I don’t have time to. I want to be there for the people who need me but I don’t even have time to be there for myself. I’m too busy studying & writing & working, & when a friend calls me in tears I have nothing useful to say because all I can concentrate on is the law of mass communication and my AP Stylebook… And isn’t that what everything is about these days? Time, & not having it? Hurrying???

I thought it was Gateway that had the cow boxes. I got a Dell and it didn't come in a cow box...just a regular brown box with Dell on it lol. Congrats on your article. Sorry you're so busy lately. Remember to take time to relax a little and get rid of some stress if you can.
I know how you feel. I never stop. Ever. No time to stop. There are times that I like it better that way though. I know if I took the time to stop, I'd find something to be upset about because that's how I spent a good part of my life... I kind of like being too bust to notice that silly (and sometimes not silly) things upset me.
Hang in there Katy; everyone goes through times where they feel like the world is just rushing by, and they can't stop to enjoy everything. When life does slow down though, it makes everything seem that much more wonderful. It'll happen, you just need to let life work itself out.
